This reminds me of a rather provocative piece that came out in the mid 70's. It was highly controversial for its time, yet not that well known today. Well, one of the main characters in the story was that of a disabled knight - who against all odds that life had thrown at him, still plucked up courage to face the challenge. They took on adversary with little regard to their own handicap, even keeping high spirit through hopeless situations. Even when faced with insults contemporary of the time, such as "Look you stupid bastard, you've got no arms!", he shrugged them off.
There's this great quote from the character forgotten to time, rumoured to be ad-libbed by its actor: "It's just a flesh wound". This rather poignant quote has forever struck a chord with me, and has helped me face many difficulties, such as the Bohemia Interactive SQF language or delivering a website for a community. So I thank you Seska, for invoking such vivid nostalgia in my memory glands once more. I'm sure I can get some karma from this.
