This loser dressing up like an Army Ranger. Maybe he was doing it to get respect or something or military discounts both probably. Just dont ever get it in your head that you may look cooler or more respect will be gained off you if you pretend to be in the military. I get its easy as we are online and ive actually seen people do it online and be caught its seriously pathetic, dressing up in public like this though is something else. The guy seems to get pretty worked up at the end

I doubt someone could'ave believed he was in the army that fat. Like come on.

No WAY he could'ave passed Ranger school like that. I bet he couldn't even crawl in that rope where you need to touch the Ranger sign.

No matter what his excuse is, that's just plain stupid. I get dressing up as army on airsoft and stuff like that (i've got a us army uniform that i use for airsoft), but this is just... He should'ave called the cops so they arrest his fat ass.

You would be surprised how many people are a bit overweight in the army (US and UK)

I actively avoid wearing uniform wherever I can in public for security reasons, I just dont get why people like this guy would do this!

Reserves (plenty of Reserves are overweight), but as a result spend plenty of time on regular bases and talking to regulars.

The whole Lee Rigby thing is the main reason. They are more worried about ISIS beheading someone in the street. The fact my regiment is in the middle of London also makes us a bigger target. Also, as it is reserves, people go home, not back to a base surrounded by barbed wire and guards, making it again more dangerous.

Pretty much mandatory - you are going to get chewed out by the chain of command if they see you walking around in uniform or arriving to training in it.

Carrying your Daysack or began is also frowned upon but they wont have a go at you for it because sometimes it is unavoidable and you just have to bring it

Here in italy
i regularly see Soldiers shopping in uniform, especially mothers around 1700 after retriving their children from school.
Soldiers get no discounts here, nor particular respect; due to the fact that they are also given police functions it's a HEAVY CRIME to impersonate them.

If we compare the United States to the UK we see patriotism is less popular in the UK than the US. If we look in England where society is often split in culture differences and often leads to a them and us attitude between the separate communities. This paves the way for a minority of radicals on either side where they are deluded in there views because they lack the sense of belonging its not patriotism that's the problem its the education clearly and the acceptance of one another without killing each other.

The St Georges cross has become toxic and so has Islam, both from minority groups but because the media and the government love to report so much on these issues, a small issue now becomes a huge issue, terrorism is apparently a huge issue, oh btw the last major terror incident before Lee Rigby was the 7/7 bombings in 2005 the are a few minor ones between.

The media would love you to believe muslims are the threat and we are there victims however the islamaphobic hate crime that doesn't get as much media attention has increased by 70% from july 2014 to 2015 with 816 incidents. Theres a war on 'terror' but no war on racists sorry if the term "racists" is not politically correct.

So yer with the media coverage and the lack of understanding of our diverse culture in the UK and the government's lack of strategy when taking in these refugees and housing them, it may well be a factor in you feeling insecure when wearing your uniform in public or the Armys stance on you wearing it.

I believe these people who threaten us are merely asking for our help, they cant integrate into British society they feel like there in a hostile environment and not accepted.

If radical muslims wanted to target British soldiers on the streets, they would. Period. Its not hard to find a uniformed soldier just look near your local Army recruiting centre, so again this stupid picture the media give us about every Muslim is out to get themselves a kill with a machete is bullshit.

I find it amusing how people are scared of immigrants being terrorists, I mean almost every terrorist organization is capable of forging a few documents and buying a plane ticket. It is unlikely that they would send someone through half of the middle east, pay a small fortune to sit on a rickety boat that might not make it to Europe and then trek all the way to the UK so they might carry out an attack.
