The knock out time seems to be indefinite if you get shot and knocked out. Epi pens are the only thing to bring people out of the KO. This means that if your playing as medic (or dont have a medic) if you get shot and knocked out you may as well respawn. 

This was evidenced today when Kieran was playing bravo medic, got shot and knock out. We stabilised him but he didnt come around for the whole AO (which was about 1 hour). We lugged his butt around the whole time waiting for him to wake up...
I have seen/heard of this happening several times as well.

My suggestion is to bring the 'wake up time' back in line to the time frames it was set at prior to ACE3.

Yes confirmed happened twice during two different AOs, as medic its impossible to "wake up"

I can confirm this aswell!
Even though it was fun carrying Kieran on my shoulders for an hour, throwing him on the ground whenever we got engaged, this probably should be fixed.

I don't believe that is possible. The way ace does things you need the medic to give you an epi. You can read up on the medic stuff here.

Its bullshit that you just jab someone with epi and they wake up anyhow but anyway......

Why not give the section lead a role in which they also act as a medic with the ability to wake people up and give blood transfusions, at least that way the medic can get blood and wake up.

The section lead having a medic qualification means it isn't going to get exploited and that role primarly being the medic, which isn't going to happen due to the chain of command. Medic and section lead are both valuable roles in the section, meaning death for either one is really bad. Due to the chain of command and the responsibilities the section lead it wont be exploited in a way the medic has no value or it becomes "to gamey".

TLDR; give the section lead as you call it "a medic qualification" giving the medic to have a chance of survival as a possible quick workaround.
