To help better simulate the idea of "no man left behind", to prevent radio nets being infiltrated and to prevent other gear getting in the hands of the enemy, we should give medics the option to "bury bodies".

The idea being that once a body is placed in a body bag, after a set duration they disappear. I can't think of a valid gameplay reason as to why you'd want to bring them back to base, and I think this is an acceptable compromise.

I think this just abit of a gimmick to be honest.

Yeah it would maybe fit the scene but I don't think they'd be bothered about burying dead people while you're under contact from enemy.
Once all contact is dealt with, I believe bagging up the dead should be not in the top priority, but should be done, and then carted off to a wagon and taken back to base at some point.

Thing I was wanna see the most is at the end of OP's we actually return to base and THEN it's mission complete.
While we're at base at the end of the night we could then bury the dead there - Tho that might still be seen as a gimmick.

-EDIT: Didn't see this was a public server suggestion, but eitherway my point still stand.

I think you miss the point here and are taking what Bose is saying to literally.

It is simulating as far as needs to be the role of the CSM and a MERT team after a soldier is KIA, yet without having to fill those slots. Your right you would not get soldiers or front line medics to do this in combat, hence what Bose is suggesting is to save having to fill extra "non-combat roles" by using a script to do what they would do anyway.

This is even more important when fighting an enemy like the Taliban who would parade the body of your comrade through the streets for huge amounts of propaganda. If anything in Afghanistan not leaving your men behind was a strategic decision as the repercussions of letting a deceased soldier into the hand of the Taliban would be catastrophic.

Sounds too cringy to think about.

I am all for it, not that my opinion really matters.

Its all abit of a gimmick. Dead are always recovered back to base and would be buried there or repatriated. Why is this actually necessary from a gameplay POV

Players can be civs.

I've personally picked up a radio and transmitted on it as a civilian.

I'm not against the idea as it would be realistic for enemy morale to go up if a body is not buried or taken back. I just think it needs to be simplified,

Firstly, I would suggest that no body bags are needed.
Secondly, the bodies need to be timed. If, say, the bodies have not been buried yet after 30 minutes for example, the enemy morale will go up.
Thirdly, just make the burying part of the ace menu and make it take little time to do so.
Lastly, I would suggest that once the MERT team slots are filled, the system changes and bodies have to be taken back instead. If not done so the consequences will be the same, increasing enemy morale.
