[Suggestion] Increase despawn timer on the dead

I'd like to suggest we see a massive increase in the despawn timer on dead enemies, friends and vehicles. 

Watching any of the above despawn after 5-10 seconds really breaks my immersion due to how unrealistic it is (and we are a realism group). In addition it alters the game play negatively in several ways:

- It renders unconscious enemies to become very obvious - they are the ones that dont despawn
- If your team mate goes down in the middle of open terrain, I'll simply wait and watch to see if they despawn before i try to save them
- It makes taking important items such as AT off friendlies very difficult and can impact the game, say for example your only guy with long range AT goes down
- having cover disappear mid fire fight is very frustrating (this happened last night as we rescued a down choppers crew)
- It removes the option for urgent AT pickup from enemies (and this is important especially when you only have a couple of guys on the server)

I would like to suggest a minimum 15 minute despawn timer.

I feel the negatives above far outweigh any of the positives of a short despawn (i can only think of stopping people getting Russian guns?).

i agree with everything geeeez the problem is i think this dramaticially affects server peformance ....thus why they de spawn so quickly

I agree with Phill on the whole "breaks my immersion" and would like to see a delay on despawning.
And yes it's true about damping server peformance, what if instead of a time there had to be a certain amount of X entity before X entity starting despawning

I.E Max dead enemy on map at once is 20, once the limit of 20 is reached it begins to despawn them from 1-20 in order of how long they've been there for.

It's just an idea.

Actually having dead AI shouldn't decrease server performance or client performance enough to notice, this would only happen if the dead AI was being replaced by another, in fact when they do die the server has to do less work as it no longer has to control the AI.
But yeh I would say 10-15 mins at least.
If enemy weapons are the real issue there is a fairly simple script to remove magazines after death.

I think the main reason Management decresed the time to despawn is because grabbing russian weapons got out of hand with a certain group of people beeing rumored to parachute into the AO with only pistols. I mean, who would do anything like that?
Anyway jokes aside I'd like to see some bodies on the map again, it gives you a sense of acomplishment. Especially if they're piled up like this. Another bonus would be that Delta has it's old advantage of picking up ammo from the enemies back.
In the end this is really a question of discipline, and how good one can control his squad. Despawning the enemy so quickly is not having trust in the playerbase and to an extent in the community itself.

i think you shoud be able to pick up other weapons , its a public server , made by the public for the public is the motto lol .....but hey thats just me , i think it should be done for fun.

no different to taking a scope from another squad or person, no different to picking up another guys weapon in your squad , or constantly asking for rockets when your not ment to have them ,.....you can have all that and do all that, remember no one says anything to this..... then sayin no to this request would be stubborn......well at least thats what i think ....

why stubborn ? becuase in reality you are trained in using enemy weaponry exp in the war in iraq , alot of ak's were used by the us army and usmc in certain situations....

I think the dislike of picking up Russian weapons in the public server is probably due to the possibility of friendly fire. I know a lot of people identify using weaponry and delta on the old domination were often shot at if they did not make it abundantly clear where they were.

i agree sarge , but as everyone knows that is a possiblity and im sure those who chose this method are fully aware of it and when it did happen i doubt they cared lol .......my views, get better at p.i.d targets ...dont let the rest suffer what could be a good experience for alot of guys becuase of 1 guys un-educated, inexperienced decision, in a public server where mistakes happen......hell i see tk when we on the same team with all the same stuff lol

Delta use the CUP AK74 which is not compatiable with RHS gear.

The body despawn script is something that Fakematty made and as he is very busy at the moment a fix is a long way off. I will look into sorting this.

Saxon is right on the reason we chose to get rid of it. We are FED UP with seeing people do it and if you cant be trusted we thought why don't just take it away from them.Sniper team is on the brink as well as it is consistently abused with Sniper and Spotter asking for AT at spawn and then USING it on tanks in the AO as just one example. Management is not responsible for your actions and if people are going to abuse the system you leave us no choice as we tried trusting you guys but it didn't work.

If everyone was to start acting as mature as they do on the forums then there would be no issue. Like I have said time and time before what it in theory should be the case isn't always true in practice.

with the sniper team... i mean is that really that bad ? i see much worse everday from other squads so i hope they get the same treatment.

people do act mature but like you proved the other day will no matter what, people wont be trusted by certain people .....i mean i asked to be a trainer so how you can assume that i would abuse the sniper team and not have a spotter just baffles me (like the other day) .... see my point of what can we actually do ?

another solution has been found (you could say a final solution) to this problem. I will also be monitoring specifc roles and I will from this moment on wards will be issuing three warnings to each player and then a ban for 1 month from that role if not played correctly.
