Right then, Sorry for not conforming to usual suggestion SOP, but this isnt really standard.

I'm posting this rather than simply discussing it with management to gather opinions of the community as well as the official opinion from the various members of management.
 
However the funky difference with this one is that I have already made the changes mentioned here, and they, in their separate discussion points are accompanying this post as commits to Jayman's Github Repo.
(Partially to help the relatively simple changes happen, and also to discuss the requests as once i had put it together realised that it wasn't perhaps as clear cut as I intended and didn't want to presume too much.)
 
S o basically I knew the 3CB update came out a little while back, with those juicy new Landrovers and saw that we are yet to get them to play with on the public. So the first part of this suggestion is to swap over from using CUP's to 3CBs hardtop Landrovers. As seen below:
(Obvs the specific variant up for debate but chose this based off of their role on the server rather than real-life usage.)
 

 
A long with the vehicles, some of you may have noticed a couple of other bits added/fixed in the 3CB update, namely their modules which my pull request adds to the Taki & Cherno Domi missions:
 
- Aircraft Servicing 
When on the pad and engine off, scroll menu action 'Servicing' opens nifty GUI to allow not only repair, refuel, and rearm. But also optional weapon mounts, the only use we have for this currently is the Wildcat would be able to choose to load HE or AP dumb fire rockets.




- Vehicle Servicing 
Does the same but for the jackals and Landrovers (which arnt compatible with the CUP MTVR’s. Also does something as yet unseen on the public, and rearms 3CB’s inventory based vehicle ammo.






- Logistics 
As seen with the tubes on the back of the snatch milan that are used up and disappear as they should, 3CB seem to be trying to make infantry vehicle interactions more immersive. This module again provides a scroll option GUI that allows the vehicles standard inventory to be loaded with ammo, vehicle ammo, and also static weapons and also allows spare wheels and ACE crates containing all sorts to be loaded. Improving the usefulness of the BAF motorised option when tackling your AO.



 
This perhaps being the most controversial addition, I expect discussion may mention the use of a GUI, and also more for management, the 25% addition in lines of code that the Logistics module itself adds to the mission.sqm, and whether or not you deem this acceptable in terms of performance.
 
Aside from the 3CB update, I have added in the 3 MTVR’s to allow servicing of CUP vehicles and aircraft. For when the old pad doesn’t quite do it, just the other day, I myself landed the Venom on the pad with a ruptured fuel tank, it was repaired but not refuelled. The only option left was let it re spawn , which IMO isn’t good enough on a realism server.




As said, I'm mainly putting this up here to see what peoples opinion to this solution of the logistical aspects of gameplay. I'll happily and easily edit/revert/ completelyforgetabout and of these 3 suggestions according to ( management's) opinions  so that they best improve everyone's public gameplay.

sounds nice mc jizzle the only question i have and its only becasue i dont really like it an prefer it this way is :

"3CB’s inventory based vehicle ammo"

is it strictly in the veichle with the menu n that ?

as i would really like and prefer to just go to a box and collect lets say 5 x 7.62 tracer boxes for the main gun and put them in veicle myself ? im not too keen on the menu itself although it offers alot , i like it to be more "manual" u could say ...obv not when changing rocket pods n stuff on wildcats tho lol

but yea all good man , cant dis it till u try it geez

Good point on that one jeff, The same effect could be achieved with the correct 3CB belts being added to a box for vehicle ammo and people just putting them in themselves. That is definitely an alternative. But the option for crates and support weapons would need implemented manually. Happy to give that a go instead if thats the decision made.

yea nice geez , i think that prob the defo they way forward ? have a nice mixture , ammo boxes, types of ammo, types of h.e rounds for morta n stuff would be a nice additon to a box ....and to be done manually

then the big things like changing rocket pods on helis , changing the main gun on the veicle should be left to the menu...

i think that be nice man if it can be done and split up like that....

The other point to check with this , which would be cool if it works, is if the "Load a 200 rnd belt into the vehicle, can then use that to reload a GPMG" works?

Yeah, this is the full correct functionality of 3CB's inventory based vehicle ammo, you reload the M2/gpmg and it removes the corresponding belt from the inventory, which can also be carried to other vehicles or used in infantry or static weapons as would loading the right ammo from a crate.

I like the idea.
The 3cb stuff looks promissing but I'll have to find a solution for the us/usmc trroops as well.
I think it would be kinda unfair if we leave those out.
I'll take a look at it on the weekend.
Unfortunatelly I'm not gonna be able to work on this any sooner.

If you mean by the crates of statics etc I completely understand and agree. Also as per jef's comment it would be better to have a crate/pad like insurgency to spawn boxes with weapons/ammo which can then be used in any vehicle, and without using a GUI. As such I might have a look into this.

If you mean vehicle repair/rearm, both air and land vehicle pad's in my additions 'should' repair, refuel, and rearm all vehicles using the existing script for the most part and the 3cb servicing module for complete compatbility. If that fails the MTVRs added will service all the CUP ones. If anything, in this department the 3cb ones are currently left an unfair deal as they are unable to load more than 1 belt with out a special crate for them or the repair modules.

As such I would be keen to submit another Pull Request removing the logistical module but keeping in the servicing ones and MTVR's if that would satisfy you're own thoughts and help with rapid implementation.

Jazza, he prob meant that only the UK faction would be using this, while leaving USMC and US Army aside.

I guess that's my misunderstanding sorry, I'm not trying to be pushy or argumentative on purpose. I'm sorry i've come across that way.
To help me, would you mind saying what you mean by 'this'. As far as I am aware my last post was suggesting I merely submit the fixes required to bring the UK faction vehicles to the same usefulness as the US/USMC currently have. If you could detail what I'm not understanding that would be useful for me, thanks!

sorry guys I was in a rush and cannot english today either.

So, regarding 3cb land vehicles yes I'd do as Jeffro suggested, however I'll have to take a look if it works or not, also I have to check on the rest CUP and RHS as well. Unfortunatelly in previous versions i could not reload 3cb static weapons, probably it is fixed now.

Regarding air vehicles it should be the same as it is right now, plus the servicing module.

I hope we are on the same point now. Sorry if I confused you guys, but I kinda lost where my head is today.

New improved pull request already submitted for managements perusal.

- Cup BAF vehicles swapped for 3CB for both domi's and taki & resh ins.

- Insurgency's repair/crate pad split into repair pad utilising Domi's
repair.sqf, and crate pad for both pilot and infantry use with new and
improved crates that also acts as a indiscriminate vehicle servicing pad.
This method then implemented to standardise across the 4 missions; Cherno & Taki Domi, Taki & Reshman
Insurgency.

- Also added 3CB aircraft servicing ONLY to aircraft servicing pad as this offers a functionality we do not
currently replicate. (Not vehicle servicing or logistics as my pad changes fulfil this need in our own
integrated way)
3CB vehicle ammo done spawning in a crate at the pad and loading mags into gear by hand. (Does require
a large enough backpack)

- Also added option at crate pad to clear crates from the pad due to
chance of cluttering with all the new crates.

- Tested crate, vehicle, and static weapon functionality and all worked as expected. See 3CB's handy wordpress site or the addon configuration part of the ingame option menu for the relevant keybinds.

Hope all is ok and this gets onto the public server ASAP

Apologies for the late response. I haven't found any issues with the configuration, therefore I merged your request.
I'll upload the new mission versions to the server latest tomorrow morning.
