As some of you may have noticed, management have been arranging over the course of a month now with a few other groups a Joint-Operation. You'll recognize two of the groups, Phalanx (German - Aperios) and Sicarius Elitist (American - 'MERT' Group). We'll also be joined by two additional groups (although I believe they've now merged into the former) FJK33 and 16. FschjK (Both German - Infantry).
Rik is designing the mission, which will be utilising some custom assets he's been developing for us and ze Germans. The mission itself is set in the Cold War, partly so the Germans can be Bundeswehr and ourselves as British Army of the Rhine with American MERT/Logistics supporting. It's also partly to reduce communication complexity. It works well that Rik was making this mission before considering using it for the Joint-Op.
We're expecting a sizeable turnout, ranging from a modest estimate of 50 members to the potential of 70. We'll be having a separate and streamlined repo for this operation, for the courtesy of the other groups. There will be no late additional attachments. The role-sheet will be as is.
We'll be deploying as a German Mechanised Platoon, British Mechanised Platoon, British Armoured Troop (with possibility of some German crews), American Heli Logistics (with some German crew) and Company Command (mixture of English/Germans).
The two dates you need to dash in your dairies with your fluffy pink pens are:
- February the 18th ( We'll be doing the pre-op test a week early, before our OP on that day)
- February the 25th (Actual mission night, starting at our usual time)
More finesse details will be announced closer to the operation, so please do not get worked up about the "ORBAT" or the equipment we'll be using yet. I know as I type this, some of you can't resist from asking regardless. Don't. There's no calling slots early either, as there's a few considerations we'll have to announce for certain slots. Again, that'll be closer to the OP. Also calling slots early is a douchey thing.
Before anyone asks: play style will be that of our normal operations; first person, no hud, one life etc. Y'know the drill.
