Taki and bystrica domination instant completion bug fixed. I’m really happy with domination in general now, flipping the general dynamic to the point where we’re the guerrilla force when at lower playercounts provides a really neat change in gameplay, and the necessity of tactical intelligence on the command level is playing out well.

I also reimplemented a loose restriction on how far an AO can spawn from base in domination at non-jahra maps, because having to drive for half an hour just to get shot by a tank is no fun. The max is now 10km, which is more than enough.

The following changes apply to both insurgency and domination:

Repairing vehicles with special loadouts like the harrier or hind now keeps the loadout instead of resetting it to default.

Patrol bases can now be taken down by enemy action as intended.

Trialling a gameplay change to the lower tier factions. Since the Polish faction has proven so popular I’ve brought the marksman system over to some of the other sections from that, where the section doesn’t have a marksman to begin with but the commander/subcommander can spawn a marksman rifle once the section is full. This applies to sections where the marksman is not a staple of the section IRL but can be brought in on a platoon level, so 2000 british and ANA as well as Polish as before, and US forces can spawn in one as well once the section gets past 8 players. This has the effect of equalising the effective range of the section at lower playercounts. ANA gets SVD, Polish get a modernised SVD with better optics, 2000 UK gets an L96 (this was pre-L129 and it is realistic) and US 2000 and modern get an M14 EBR. I’ve also bumped up the amount of ammo that’s given with them from the original test with the Polish SVD. As before only one marksman rifle can be spawned per game.

Polish rifles are now Beryls that take the 5.56 magazines from the M-21 now as they should. I also made a new magazine for the SVD that has tracer rounds.

Also just a reminder that when joining a server and there’s a full section, don’t be afraid to start a new section as a rifleman or whatever and then attach to the previous section. There have been several occasions where there’d be a full second section if people didn’t look at the rolesheet when connecting, see that they have to start a new section, then get scared and disconnect.

Finally I removed trouble in terrorist town because it’s ending itself when on the server for an unknown reason and there’s no way to test it.

Regarding only being able to spawn in 1 rifle per game, Is this not an issue for arma being buggy etc? Obviously this system is in to stop a whole section rolling with Marksman rifles, which I fully agree is stupid, but surely this is just a matter of applying common sense and/or enforcing rules?

That doesn't work, people will exploit the game for all its worth if given the chance. Losing out on a marksman rifle is no big deal if something does go wrong
