Conflict Overview
As the Second World War was coming to the end, the Soviet forces launched an naval invasion to the island of Malden located as one of the many small islands in the north of Germany. The Nazi regime was switched out with the communist DDR. The island had strategic advantage as the most western Soviet location. The islands itself is not big and only have a few smaller towns and a medium sized airport. As the Cuba crisis was ongoing in 1962 it was reported from Danish observers, that a few ships dropped off a lot of cargo. It was suspected that the island now hosted an mobile nuke. The nukes would have range all over Europe and would be able to fire within 30 minutes from the start of the preparing sequence.
Recent Events
Five days ago in Berlin, at Checkpoint Charlie in the US controlled zone, the Soviet open fire at a civilian trying to escape to the west. The US soldiers did stand down not returning fire as the Soviet were shooting over their heads trying to shot the civilian escaping. The man a young boy at the age of only 17 was shot down just a few meters from the West-German border. Reports are coming in of rioting all over East-Germany, as well as the other East-European countries. The people have had enough. As responds the Soviet forces has open fire on unarmed civilian crowds’, three doubled their forces at the borders including mobilizing their entire army. Late last night in the south part of Germany, a Soviet tank division opened fire on a French fortified position. As responds the Ally forces has launched a full attack throughout the European front. As one of the few British battalions in the area it is up to us to secure the island and take out the nuclear threat.

The battalions intent with this operation is to secure the Airport, taking out the enemy SU-25. Find and destroy the enemy 9P129 mobile missile launcher. The battalion suggests that we jump over one of the open clearings west of the airport, or the beach to the east of Lossiemouth. There is medical facilities on the airfield itself. Capturing them will give us a huge benefit, as a forward aid station.

Request that the AA Team is replaced with a Harrier as airborne operations don't happen unless you have complete air superiority of the enemy so why would it be there ? You could even get one of the C-130 pilots to fly it and make it so we have more front line troops.

Objective 1: We are tasked to capture the Airport and take out the enemy SU-25. Intel shows that the airport is fortified and well guarded. It is an important first step to secure the airspace and gaining us an advantage.
Objective 2: In fear of the Soviet’s ability to launch a nuke we are tasked with finding and destroying the 9P129 mobile missile launcher, located on the island. We have no idea where it is located, but MI6 has a local asset located in the town of Saint Louis. The asset drives a red Landrover and works as the local doctor. Find him and find out more.
