Operation MINOTAUR
World War 2 Dismounted
Operation Start: 11:00  15. May 1941
Current Weather: Clear
Future Weather: Clear
Map: Altis

Conflict Overview:
After their invasion of Yugoslavia the Germans have turned their attention even further south, where the Italians are struggeling against the Greeks. On the 6. of May they invaded Greece and quickly ousted the hellenic and what little troops we stationed there from the mainland.
Germany has since turned their attention towards the Aegean Islands. Our naval supremacy is contested by the Regia Marina so sporadic landings were expected, but we didn't quite anticipate what actually followed.

Recent Events:
Two days ago German paratroopers landed in the fields north-east of the main Altis airfield quickly seized it and cut our forces here on Altis in two. They then proceeded to oust us from the majority of the western island quickly taking Altis' capital Kavala yesterday, thus enabling them to safely ship in reinforcements.
The germans have since proceeded to advance on the eastern island and yet again split our forces. The high command of Altforce has decided to withdraw from the island in an orderly fashion as Altis is too far in the north of the Aegean to effectivly hold against the Italo-German advance.
As such we are to slowly fall back to allow an evacuation of our forces and equipment to link up with our fleets east of the island. This however means holding against the Germans every now and then to allow other elements to safely board their ships.

You are a to hold off the German advance. Our first line of defence is Line Ceiling, the second Line Wall, the third Line Floor. If ordered to you are to fall back to the next line.

Situation Opfor:
Weapons: Regular Light German Armament
Uniform: Regular German Uniform; Fallschirmjäger uniforms
Vehicles: None
The Germans have only recently captured the harbour in Kavala and concentrate their effort on the north-western part of our forces, where we have encountered most of their heavier equipment and aircrafts. Our opposing forces seem to be mostly compromised of paratroopers though by now they have brought in heavier equipment at the airport and there has been sightings of regular army personal.

Situation Civilians:
Evacuated from the AO

Situation Blufor:
Weapons: Standard British Armamanet
Uniform: Standard British Uniforms
Vehicles: Few Lend-Lease Trucks

Because it is boring and unrealistic. No one has used LR in years. Foxhound would be the logical choice.
