Conflict Overview:
With Reagan as the leader of the “Free World” the conflict with the Soviet Union just keeps on escalating. The weapons race is on its highest, with both sides forcing it to the limit. As the Soviet use more and more on their military, basic consumers goods is in hard supply. The Solidarity movement in Poland starts forming in 1980, calling for an independent nation. National strikes started all over the country. A period of martial law did start, with the government cracking down on all form of hostile government activity. Also in East Germany is the tension high. It is unsure what will happen but the Soviet Union is on its breaking point. Open up with reforms or keep the iron fist closed for good.

Recent Events:
1600 - United States and NASA launch the Intelsat V satellite into space.
1610 – Russian High altitude Jets intercepts the satellite and shoots it down.
1700 – The Soviet Union announces that they have shoot down an incoming Tomahawk missile over the pacific.
1800 - USA refuse that they have launched any missiles towards Russia’s east coast. They bring evidence that the satellite was for civilian use and they lost contact with it around the same time the Soviet claims to have shoot down a Tomahawk Missile
1830 – United Nations condemns the Soviet action to shoot down a civilian satellite.

0345 – British paratroopers are dropped behind the iron curtain in East Germany to strengthen the NATO advance.

1. Our first objective is to intercept an enemy motorised platoon on its way towards the front line in the south west. Intel has gained the route that the convoy will be traveling. We will have limited time from when we get out of the plane to set up the ambush, so act fast and get in position. Expect URAL trucks and light APC.
2. The French position in the south west is under constantly artillery fire, making it almost impossible for them to break through the Soviet line. We are to move to the city of Rabisha, capture the town and the artillery position. This will give the French an advantage at the Soviet line to the south.
3. As the last objective we are to move to the Soviet town of Gramada. The city is important to the NATO forces and will be our last objective before holding our advance. The Soviet forces have set up a small airfield to the west of town. Capture the town and the airfield, this will limit the Soviet’s ability to keep their helicopters and CAS planes in the air.
