Vehicles have now been operating out of FOB Kunduz for several months without incident. However, earlier in the day a routine supply convoy carrying vital fuel supplies was ambushed and disabled around 1km from base. We received intel that the vehicles were then dragged off the MSR (Main Supply Route) and are being held and siphoned by insurgents in one of the nearby villages. This resupply was put off for a long time due to external security issues around the neighbouring fuel depot, and as a result:
There is no fuel available on base Additionally, there is also no aviation fuel available on base
1: Conduct a dismounted combat patrol toward the last known location of the resupply convoy. 2: Find and rescue any surviving logistics drivers or crewmen. 3: Bring the convoy back to base.
Due to the dismounted nature of this event, it is heavily advised that players treat their lives with a similar amount of care to operations, given the increased travel times from base. However, killed players will find plenty to do in and around base if they do happen to meet their demise.
Also due to the dismounted nature and lack of available resupply, a limited amount of XL bergens will be provided to carry extra resources. Additionally, the base gear cleanup system will be turned off for the duration of the event to allow people to move stuff around in base without inconvenience.
