Recent Events of the Baltic Crisis
Operation LUDAG has secured us much of the south-western island of the Baltic Islands. However, the surprisingly though resistance of WaP Army units around Branibor has has exposed our flank towards the south-east. Now we faced with three tasks: Securing our south-eastern flank and support the Danish-German forces at Branibor, liberate Krasnozamensk from the communist siege and cross onto the north eastern island, via the smaller northern bridge. With the Soviets shipping in troops and potentially establishing a 'neutral zone' around their submarine base, thus blocking the main bridge for our forces (and keeping it operable for the SSUBI troops), allied high commans is keen of first securing us a foothold on the main island.

Mission:
Despite most of our units being needed to hold the frontline and help out the Danish and German forces at Branibor, allied command has ordered the British forces to take the northern bridge. Company command has decided to not force a crossing over the bridge, fearing that the SSUBI forces may destroy it once we advance far enough. Instead our platoon has been ordered to cross by boat and take the bridgehead on  the other side, encircling the units currently holding the bridge, forcing them to surrender. We do have a light gun to support us, but we are nor to use it against targets on the bridge, as not to damage it.

Our exact landing zone is up to our platoon commander, but we have been advised to land at least 500 meters to the south-east of  the bridge. We expect a platoon guarding the crossroads near the bridge, one holding the bridgehead itself, with two companies on the bridge itself (though our sister platoon is suppressing one of them) and anotehr platoon holding the border post in the north. Additionally we expect patrols in the forrests north west and south-east of the bridgehead. We are tasked with eliminating all thsese forces to secure a bridgehead on the north-eastern island of Taviana

Tasks:
  • Secure the Crossroads next to the bridge.
  • Advance down the bridge until the WaP Army units surrender.
  • Secure the border checkpoint.
