Conflict Overview:
Operation Banshee is the codeword used to cover UK defence operations in support of the UN peacekeeping missions in the former Yugoslavia; including the deployment of British forces in Bosnia and Croatia.

The United Kingdom deployed a compact army headquarters staff at Divulje near Split. The main manoeuvre forces are an infantry battle group (based in Bosnia); supported by an armoured reconnaissance squadron, a combat engineer squadron and a logistics support unit. A detachment of Fleet Air Arm Sea King troop carrying helicopters is also based in Divulje barracks. The British contribution to UNPROFOR also includes the deployment of Royal Navy ships sailing in the Adriatic Sea and RAF aircraft supporting troop movements in Croatia.

The UK agreed to join the UN force to protect humanitarian convoys in Bosnia, as part of UNPROFOR 2. The first British Battalion (BRITBAT) is the Cheshire Regiment which deployed with its armored vehicles in October 1992 through the Croatian port of Split, eventually headquartering itself in a school on the outskirts of the town of Zhelezna in the region of Leskovets in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Recent Events:
Our platoon is currently located at FOB Kelpie in Zhelezna. We have been tasked with observing the treatment of civilian population and providing aid to those that have been caught in the firefights between the Army of Republika Srpska and the Army of the Croatian Republic of Herzeg-Bosnia. We've received word that one of the local "business owner" has information about potential war crimes being carried out in the region and for that information he wants us to pay him 10,000 USD. High command has approved the payment and we have been sent in to acquire the information and act accordingly.

Objectives:
Locate the "business owner" in Kostensi and acquire the information about potential war crimes. He has parked a white-blue SUV in front of his house and has several bodyguards at the entrance to his house. It is advisable to speak with them first.

Situation OPFOR: Army of Republika Srpska
Weapons: AKM, AK74, RPK, PKM, RPG-7, SVD Dragunov, PMM, DShK HMG.
Uniform: Green camo mixed with civilian clothing.
Vehicles: UAZ, Ural trucks, BTR-60, BRDM-2, BMP-1, BMP-2, T-55, T-72.

Situation Civilians: Present.
Population: ~200.000 in the region, ~100-200 left in the war torn areas.
Allegiance: Mostly to the army of the Croatian Herzeg Bosnia which is neutral to us.

Situation BLUFOR: Army of the Croatian Republic of Herzeg-Bosnia
Weapons: M16, AKM, AK74, RPK, PKM, RPG-7, M14, Thompson SMG, G3A3, SVD Dragunov.
Uniform: Green camo with green helmets.
