The Controversial South African Border War has been raging for 15 years at this point with very little apparent progress. Massive raids by the SADF to eliminate SWAPO strongholds and training camps in Angola have been launched with huge tactical success but little to no apparent strategic progress. Arms and Equipment pouring in through foreign support from the USSR and PRC replace losses suffered in raids almost overnight. In an effort to covertly support their former colony the United Kingdom has attached a combat team to the SADF to assist in Operation Protea, An attempt by the SADF to establish a staging area on an island off the coast of Angola. The UK combat team will provide the spear head for the invasion of the small island. The island will help the SADF initiate raids along the northern Angolan border in an attempt to stop this influx of arms and equipment.Recent Events:
Task Force Bravo has moved up the coast to the border with Angola. Combat Team Britain was been stationed with the help of the navy off the West coast of the island. A landing zone was chosen and the landing was unopposed. However the landing was noticed and the garrison MPLA and SWAPO forces are moving in to stop the beachhead from growing with the assistance of rocket barrages from GRAD trucks. The trucks are low on ammo after the barrage however and should stop firing once the platoon moves off. Objectives:
