In February 2014, following the 2014 Ukrainian revolution that ousted the Ukrainian President, Viktor Yanukovych, pro-Russian separatists and Russian Armed Forces took over the territory. A controversial Crimea-wide referendum, unconstitutional under the Ukrainian and Crimean constitutions,was held on the issue of reunification with Russia which official results indicated was supported by a large majority of Crimeans. Russia formally annexed Crimea on 18 March 2014, incorporating the Republic of Crimea and the federal city of Sevastopol as the 84th and 85th federal subjects of Russia.Recent Events:
The NATO countries agreed that they cannot allow Russia to go unchallenged and annex Crimea without any opposition. Nato task force will be sent in to push the Russians back from Crimea. TWC platoon and some SAS platoons have been sent in behind enemy lines to disrupt and destroy some strategic outposts that the Russians set up in hopes of stopping NATO. Russians have established an SA-400 missile system and a Grad battery that have been having short term great success and we need to take them out.Be advised friendly elements have noted the use of minefields.Objectives:
1. Destroy the Grad battery
2. Destroy the AA system and any radar/comms
3. Meet up with the SAS
4. Destroy the Russian communications towersSituation OPFOR:
Weapons: AK47, AK74, RPK74, PKM, Dragunov SVD, PMM, RPG7, DShKM HMG.
Uniform: Normal Russian equipment.
Vehicles: UAZ with various weapons, BRDM-2, BTR-60PB, BMP-2, T-72.Situation Civilians:
Present all around, considering the time of day, most of them are expected to be sleeping in their homes.
