Conflict Overview:
The Cold War is at it's peak. NATO and the USSR are pointing nuclear weapons at them, it's only a matter of time, until someone escalates the conflict. There have already been several small skirmishes along the Western German border. One of the key countries with access to the Baltic Sea is Finland which houses a NATO carrier group that is refueling. Some key figures in the Soviet Government see the placement of a NATO carrier group so close to Soviet borders as a clear provocation and have sent numerous protests to both the UN and NATO leadership.

Recent Events:
1st TWC Platoon, which is located at Kivimäki has been tasked with checking up on checkpoint James which stopped all radio communications with base. Their last message that was transmitted was of a vehicle convoy coming towards them from the Soviet border. As of 2200 hours, base command has lost all communications with checkpoint James and have decided to send in the closest force to investigate.
