Conflict Overview:3 months ago Russia tried to annex a Finnish border province using the same loyalist and vacationing troops tactics used so successfully in Crimea. NATO was initially reluctant to involve itself but another brazen move such as this was intolerable and with Sweden's urging, intervened.
The conflict was localised and short, with Russia unwilling to formalize its involvement with a greater troop presence and NATO unwilling to escalate to full scale war. The Russian backed Finnish loyalists and the "vacationing" Russian troops were thus pushed back by NATO and mostly destroyed, with remnants of the loyalists pushed into remote regions with left over Russian troops.
Recent Events:TWC Platoon is part of the greater British force performing clean-up operations in the more remote North-East of the province where loyalists and the left-overs of a Russian Motorised division have been discovered. Due to the more remote nature of the region and its heavy forests. TWC Platoon have been sent out with Husky Support Vehicles to establish a combat FOB, which will enable a supporting AH-1 Wildcat (equipped with Hellfire HEAT and Thermobaric missiles with FLIR Mount) to support the Platoon and, drive out the remaining enemy forces.
Enemy forces are heavily damaged however, they are not combat ineffective with multiple vehicles repaired or left operational in the division. The AA presence is also expected to be light but not non-existent. Most advanced AA systems were destroyed in the initial fighting but the loyalists may still have antiquated systems at their disposal.
