Conflict Overview: In Summer 2020 the Russian Federation took advantage of the chaos caused by the COVID 19 pandemic and began a campaign to regain control of ex Warsaw Pact countries which were lost during the collapse of the Soviet Union. Once these countries fell, the Russian Military turned their eyes on the Mediterranean countries with the long term objective of surrounding Turkey and gaining control of the Eastern Mediterranean.
In December 2020, the Greek Island of Altis was taken to gain a foothold in the area and provide a staging base for further campaigns in the area. NATO was initially taken by surprise by the sudden aggression of Russia but is now getting organised and preparing a counter attack across multiple fronts. The UK sent a task force to take back Altis and the surrounding islands with the overall objective of pushing the enemy back out of the Mediterranean.

Weapons: Various Russian, Uniform: Modern MSV, Various Ratnik, Vehicles: Various BTR and BMP types, T-72, T-90, Various AAA, Helicopters and Air Power.
Weapons: Various Russian, British, Civilian, Anything that could have been scavenged from the ongoing conflict or owned previously. Uniform: Various, usually Civilian with Scavenged Vests, Helmets etc, Vehicles: Various Civilian Vehicles, Hilux, Vans, VW Polos, Etc. Allegiance: Opposed to both sides, however, more Russian leaning.
Recent Events: 2 Weeks ago, TWC Platoon was tasked with putting down a growing insurgency on the island of Altis. This objective was successful but intel suggests that it has only slowed down the movement for the meantime. Following this operation, TWC platoon was granted 2 weeks of leave on the nearby island of Stratis. In their absence, Bravo, Charlie and Delta Coys have reached a stalemate in their advance on the island.
TWC Company is now tasked with performing a parachute jump behind enemy lines to secure an LZ for the 1st Royal Tank Regiment and 2nd TWC Armoured Infantry Regiment to land on the South East of the island and to draw forces away from friendly lines in the West and break the stalemate. The RAF have performed high altitude bombing on the known AAA stations in the area so we have a limited him to drop you in.
Logistics: There will be adequate supplies provided with the Land Rover. No other resupply will be possible until the corridor is cleared.
Intent: To land behind enemy lines and secure a land site for friendly armour to land on the island of Altis.
Objectives for TWC Platoon: SECURE Buildings at Airfield, SEIZE the camp overlooking the landing zone, CLEAR coastal defences and hold a corridor for friendly armour to come ashore,
Situation Civilians:
Population: High Allegiance: Mixed. Some support the Russians, others side with NATO. An increasingly large anti foreign power movement is forming on the island but that is an issue for another day.
