First and foremost, happy new year everyone! I hope you've all had a great winter break.
2017 is shaping up to be an exciting year for TWC, with many projects in the pipeline that we're proud of. We wanted to take this time to announce a few of those. We're hoping you'll be looking forward to these developments as much as we are.
Public In addition to seeing a continuation of the very successful Weekend Warriors events, we'll be seeing more ad hoc activities during the week. As voted by the community, we'll be trialling TvT missions on public, development of those is currently under-way. Finally, there's a continued effort to revise current content to bring it up to our increasing quality levels. As always, your input is wanted in the public server feedback so we can continue upwards.
Operations We're very excited to be having a joint-operation in a couple of months with our German and American friends. More details on this will be forthcoming. TWC Config and the framework will be continued to be revised and expanded upon. There's also been great strides in content being created by members, to give us more force-type options in our other eras, which we're very thankful for their effort. Any ideas for further improvement is always welcomed in the operations suggestions forum.
Training As some of you are aware, there's been an effort by a few of our members over the last few months in creating a series of Standard Operating Procedures for us. We're very thankful for their time and dedication, and these will be coming soon™. We've already consolidated a few of our qualifications so that they make more sense, and we'll be continuing to revise our courses to ensure they're both valuable and memorable. We're also working on training reinforcement sessions, a custom map, quiz-able courses for our shorter qualifications and potential gamification.
Infrastructure We're currently in the process of upgrading our hardware to give us more capability for both public and operations. The new website is expected to launch this first quarter, and will be continued to be improved throughout the foreseeable future. We're excited with the tools this will give us, to allow for us to deliver a better experience for everyone. We're always reviewing and consolidating our mods where possible, but we're also always looking to give mission makers the options they wish for. As part of that, we'll be reviewing our stance on Apex shortly.
As you can see, there's a lot here we're excited for and there's a few other projects too early in the process to announce yet. We've had an interesting 2016, and we're looking forward to 2017 as it's shaping up to be an exciting year. Thanks again for being part of the enjoyable experience we log in each week for.
